Five years after their last performance in Italy, INTERPOL lands in Turin for their only concert in Italy. The live show, thanks to the collaboration between OGR Turin and Sonic Park, will take place in the OGR's Sala Fucine on June 26, serving as an ideal city preview of Sonic Park’s fifth edition, which will open on July 4 at the Palazzina di Caccia in Stupinigi.

Clues of their upcoming performance were hinted at the I-Days in Milan when the band opened for Paolo Nutini.

Turin’s gig is part of their world tour, which follows the release of "The Other Side of Make-Believe", their seventh album, produced by Flood & Moulder (Nine Inch Nails, Curve, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode) and which received international critical acclaim.

The concert will be an unmissable opportunity to hear live the band's repertoire hits and songs from their latest studio work. "The Other Side of Make-Believe” breaks fresh ground for the group: while exploring the ominous undercurrents of contemporary life, Interpol’s new songs are imbued with pastoral longing and newfound grace. Daniel Kessler's serpentine guitar arrangements crest skywards, Samuel Fogarino crushes his percussive precision into mysterious patterns, while Paul Banks’ sonorous voice exudes vulnerability. An album in which each member's essence and qualities shine through deep interpersonal understanding, mutual respect, and appreciation.

INTERPOL
Interpol (Paul Banks – lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Daniel Kessler – lead guitar, and Sam Fogarino - drums) form in New York in 1998 and, after a series of self-produced EPs, in 2002 they release their debut album "Turn On The Bright Lights" with Matador Records, receiving praise from audiences and critics alike and becoming a cult band, and leader in the "New" new wave scene.

"Antics", the band’s second album, is released in 2004, after two years of extensive international touring and working in the studio on the third record project, "Our Love To Admire." The album, released in 2007 was first recorded in New York and is the lineup’s most successful album with soaring achievements in global charts.

After focusing on solo projects, "Interpol" is released in September 2010, followed by a long tour that saw the band opening for U2 in major stadiums. In 2012, a deluxe edition of "Turn On The Bright Lights" is released to celebrate the album's 10th anniversary that includes demos and rarities, while two years later, in 2014, they launch their fifth album "El Pintor".

In 2017 the band embarks on a tour to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their debut album, and in 2018, releases "Marauder", their sixth album followed by "A Fine Mess," an EP recorded during the "Marauder" recording sessions.

In 2020, the seventh album takes shape, which sees the band collaborate remotely for the first time due to the global pandemic. In 2021, Interpol reunites to work together on new material in a rented house in the Catskill Mountains before fine-tuning it in North London, working for the first time with veteran Flood (Mark Ellis) and with their former co-producer, Alan Moulder. "The Other Side Of Make-Believe" is released in July 2022 followed by a world tour that will bring Interpol to Italy in June 2023.
